Your chats stay yours.
The short version: your conversations never leave your browser. ChatHub doesn't read, transmit or sell them — we couldn't even if we wanted to.
Overview
ChatHub is a browser extension that helps you organise AI conversations. It runs entirely inside Chrome (and Chromium-based browsers). The chats themselves stay on the AI platforms where you created them — ChatHub never reads, transmits, or sells them.
What we collect
Stored locally in your browser
- Folder names and the chat IDs you've assigned to them
- Bookmarked chat IDs and titles
- Saved prompts (text you write)
- Extension settings and preferences
- Your Pro licence key (if you upgrade)
Cloud Sync (Pro only)
If you enable Cloud Sync, the data above is synced via Chrome's built-in chrome.storage.sync, tied to your Google account. We have no access to this data — it travels through Google's infrastructure, not ours. Google's privacy policy applies.
Billing
Payments go through Polar.sh. ChatHub only receives a licence key — we never see your card number or billing details. Polar's privacy policy applies to checkout.
What we do not collect
- The content of your AI conversations
- Messages or prompts sent to any AI platform
- Browsing history outside supported AI platforms
- Analytics, telemetry, or crash reports
- Personally identifiable information beyond what Polar collects at checkout
Permissions
- storage — to save folders, bookmarks and prompts locally
- tabs — to detect checkout completion and open the options page automatically
- host permissions for supported AI platforms — to inject the ChatHub sidebar UI
None of these permissions are used for tracking or data collection.
Data deletion
All local data lives in chrome.storage.local. Delete it by uninstalling the extension or clearing extension storage from Chrome settings. To free up a Pro activation slot, use the Deactivate button in Settings → Account.
