Where it lives
ReplyMind → Settings → Advanced Settings → Sentiment Detection. Tick Enable and choose what should happen to negative comments.
How scoring works
Each incoming comment is scored against a weighted keyword list and classified as Positive, Neutral, or Negative. The result is stored in the _replymind_sentiment comment meta and shown as a badge next to the AI Reply column on the Comments screen, so you can spot patterns at a glance.
Actions for negative comments
| Action | Effect |
|---|---|
| Flag for review (default) | Generate the reply as usual, but set _replymind_flagged so a person reviews it before it goes live. |
| Skip | Don't generate a reply at all. No API call is made. |
| Empathetic tone | Override the global tone to Empathetic for this comment, regardless of the tone setting. |
Combining with Reply Rules
Sentiment is evaluated before the Reply Rules engine. That lets you build compound logic such as "skip if negative and the author email matches a known troll list" — sentiment handles the first half, a rule handles the second.
Where sentiment shows up
- A Positive / Neutral / Negative badge in the AI Reply column.
- The Sentiment breakdown panel on the Analytics dashboard.
- The amber Flagged pill and the
edit-comments.php?replymind_filter=flaggedfilter view (for comments flagged by sentiment or rules). Use the per-row Unflag action to clear it.
The privacy eraser clears sentiment and flagged meta alongside the other _replymind_ keys.
